I have worked for 10 years for the Wellbeing Team and have a particular interest in delivering Talking Therapy Services to people with Long Term Conditions. I have a special interest in Diabetes and find it enormously rewarding seeing the benefits of how psychological input helps people adjust and manage their condition.
Russell works as a high intensity therapist for the Wellbeing team. He has an interest in the connection between medical conditions and psychological distress.
My name is Molly Smith, Senior psychological wellbeing practitioner (PWP) for Hertsmere, Watford, decorum and Hemel areas. I supervise the clinical work undertaken by our PWPs; supporting the clinical decisions and treatment plans for patients with long term conditions.
I am a cognitive behavioural psychotherapist (CBT therapist) working in the Wellbeing Team on the Long Term Medical Conditions Pilot Project and I have a longstanding interest in diabetes. I am also qualified as a counsellor and in my previous job developed a group for people with learning difficulties with diabetes. I am interested in all aspects of diabetes self-management and also needle phobia.
I have worked for 11 years as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with people presenting with low mood and a wide range of anxiety problems. I have a special interest in working with people with long term conditions. I have considerable experience in using CBT, ACT and Compassion focused therapy strategies.
I have been working for Herts IAPT Wellbeing Team since 2008 and am passionate about developing our service to help improve access to Psychological therapies. I am a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and have worked with patients experiencing a range of Long Term Health conditions and emotional difficulties. Working with patients to help improve thier psycological and physical wellbeing is hugely rewarding. Improving quality of care for patients is something I am very motivated by, so being part of an integrated service is exciting and something that will significantly benefit the care we provide.
